Australian Open, the first grandslam tennis title is already for the finals both for men and women. First up today is the women's final which will be played by world number 3 and 4. The current world number 3 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus beat Kim Clijsters in the semifinals two sets to 1. While Maria Sharapova (4) had to go through Petra Kvitova (2) to again get the chance to win a grandslam title since 2008 when she won the Aussie Open.

If you think the women's finals is exciting wait till you find out who are going to fight for the finals in the men's division. The two semifinal matches were already considered worth watching. While the second semifinal was the heart pounding game betwovak Djokovic and no. 4 Andy Murray. The match reached 5 sets with Djokovic the defending champion the winner. Rafael Nadal did it again, he was crowned the Australian Open men's champion beating number two seed Roger Federer via a five setter 7-5,3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 game. It was a momentum swinging 4 hours and 22 minutes title match Sunday night. Federer missed the chance to equal Pete Sampras' record of 14 grand slam singles titles.

Rafa is the first Spanish tennis player to win the Australian Open. He beat Federer both on grass and clay court last year and this year he completed it by beating him on hard court, the only missing link.

Rod Laver, a tennis legend was able to win all four grandslam titles in one season. Now Nadal is the only one who can emulate him by winning the first major title. Federer almost did it back in 2006 and 2007 if only he won the French Open but sadly he was toppled down by Nadal for two consecutive years making Nadal the current king of clay.

Will be anticipating more incredible macthes from these two amazing tennis players. But I will be cheering for Nadal for sure.

Lindsay w/ son JAgger

Lindsay Davenport, the 2000 Australian Open champion has been rumored to retire from playing tennis since she has not been seen on the court since August when she played at the US Open. But the Aussie tennis superstar is back and has entered the Australian Open. Aside from winning the Autralian Open in 2000 she also won the Wimbledon in 1999 and US Open in 1998. Her achievement in tennis only proves that she is a world class tennis player and a great ambassador for the world of tennis.

Davenport took a break from the WTA part of 2006 and 2007 before giving birth to her son Jagger in 2007. Now that she's back and is on the list for the main draw of the Australian Open next year we have got to see and she still has the same spunk that she had before.
