In my field of work I encounter many types of people. From all walks of life, with different kind of personalities and from different levels in the society. With this being said there are times when I would deal with patients, watchers, doctors, colleagues and just anybody whom I will interact with who are irate at times.

That is exactly what happened two days ago. The patient came in for medical examination as part of her pre-employment requirements. She was with her mom, went to my department for chest x-ray. After the procedure like all patients before we tell them to go to the other areas like the laboratory or go and see the physician we would ask them to wait because we have to check their films first and do a quality control, quality assurance procedure to make sure that the radiograph produced is readable. Which was exactly what we did. But out of nowhere the patient complained, first at low tone of voice and then afterwards she started shouting. I was having a hard time comprehending why was she acting like that. After a while after hearing what she had to say I found out that she already had a not so pleasant encounter with one our nurses in front and she also did the same thing.

Good thing we just all kept our cool, because no matter how pissed we are with her with what she did she is still a client, and for whatever reasons why she was so irate that day we have to explain to her and pacify her. When they left I talked to the nurse she had an argument with and she had also no clue what that patient's problem was.

We all had a not so good day that day so we all decided to go out to ease out the stress and rented a karaoke machine and sang our hearts out till we felt better. After all that was all part of our jobs. She was added color to our monotonous daily routine, and a learning to all of us.
