Amazingly Me

Today is the birthday of my best friend Chikai.How young is she? I'd rather not say. All I know is after all these years of being friends with her she is still the same beautiful and amazing person. Although we have not seen each other for more a year now (she and her family lives in Utah), still we communicate and are able to maintain the friendship despite the distance. To you my dear friend I wish you and our family good health. A happy and harmonious married life and of course more babies to come. I love you and I miss you so much. I can't wait to see you and Jaden soon.   

I have been working with the same company for over six years now. I have gained so many friends along the way and many have already left for different reasons. Despite the fact that I no longer work with those people we still remained friends and I value the friendship I was able to build with them. But honestly I miss most of them. Most the people who left are the ones who are really close to me. Most of the people I work with now are relatively new and are much younger than me. Although I know I may still be able to develop the same kind of friendship with them in due time, it would have been better if they were still around.

So in my desire to remember them I want to share some memorable photos of us. 

This is me and Love, one of my closest friends who is now working in Kuwait. This was in 1998, during our Christmas team building activity. We all had so much fun.

While this photo was taken during Ate Sheila's farewell dinner. This was taken a couple of days before she left for London. We had this photo framed. Weeks after she arrived in London she sent me an e-mail with a photo of her showing me what she called as Wimbledon Hospitality. I was so envious but was so happy for her as well. 

She is the daughter of my college friend. She is already three months old, I met her for the first time yesterday. She is the cutest. Again I envy my friend. Good thing he already is a father. Maxine will be the newest addition to my growing number of god children. I have no idea yet when will be the baptism but as early as now I am already shopping for possible baby gifts to avoid late minute buying. I am excited to see her again and of course to continue to see her even after the baptism ceremony.

I am about to turn thirty in a couple of days from now. I was dreading this day, the day when my age's first digit will change from 2 to 3. But lately I gave it a lot of thought and I realized what is there to dread about, after all age is just a number. Its who and what we are that is more important. Upon realizing this I began to question myself what have I really done, what am I going to do, my goals, what are my achievements and failures. I guess I have failed many times, far more than my achievements. Well anyways my spirit is a bit down, good thing I came across a magazine article which talks about what are things we should know about being 30.

The article focused on four very real facts about women in their 30s. Here are they:

1. Women in general who are on their 30s tend to be mentally primed to make major changes. 

    ~ I will not disagree because I feel that way, I am not even 30 yet but somehow when you're almost there you will start to plan on how to make big changes in your life.  Now I wanna do somethings that are not for the meantime only, I want something long term. Business wise,  personality wise, love life wise, financial wise, all the wises (hahaha).

2. Single women should not think that "You may be single, but you are not a soap opera".

    ~ At this point dating aspect should lean towards less game playing, its a waste of time. I am pretty sure that somehow from all the dating you've done during your 20s you somehow gained some lessons from there.Ones you can take with you and can help you identify know if there is fact a bright future for you and the one you are dating now. Stop being a soap opera princess and please as much as possible get rid of all the drama. 

3. We want babies. 

   ~ Definitely. Its all about a woman's ticking body clock. Unlike men who can impregnate until later in life, we women has a finish line when it comes to getting pregnant. There is what they call a "high rick pregnancy", which happens when the mother is already in her late 30s or early 40s. This may pose a great threat to the mother as well as the baby, health wise. So that is why when we reach the age 30 and childless we start to worry. 

But besides that are you really sure you are now willing to trade your single life for a life that entails a huge responsibility. You will be honing a whole new human being. Sometimes we have a tendency to want something but completely overlook all the things that comes along with it. I have always wanted a baby,  I think since I turned 27. I got pregnant twice already, had a miscarriage two times as well. The latest was very recent.I was happy when I learned about it but when I started thinking about all that I have to give up, the things that I still want to do, the places I wan to go I realized maybe I was not yet ready at all. 

4. Last but definitely not the least, we become more tuned into our bodies.

  ~Jean Garcia, a local actress here in the Philippines I think is already in her late 30's or even in her early 40s, but if you see her she is still very sexy and beautiful. Yes of course you may say that she has the obligation to her fans and to herself to stay that way since she is an actress. But I know many ordinary women who are of the same age and still looks gorgeous. 

I would hear my friends say that they are gaining a lot of weight and that no matter how much they work out or go on a diet they still put up a lot of weight. And they blame it on the slowing of their metabolism, it is a fact that when we age our metabolism  slows down thus making it harder for us to lose weight. But that doesn't we can give up on it and stop trying. It is twice as hard to lose it then we just have to work twice as hard as well. All it takes is determination and self love.  

There also women that when they become moms they also stopped caring for themselves. Yes become the best mother you can be and you can achieve that by also taking care of yourself. Live a healthy lifestyle, there is no excuse for living an awfully unhealthy life.Whether you are on your 20s,30s or even 40s, single or married, mommy or not, just see to it that you are healthy physically, mentally and emotionally. 

I have some 30ish already hope you'll have the time to read.

Aside from the Crocodile park, also inside the Riverfront compound is the Davao Butterfly, House Tribu K'Mindanawan, Riverwalk grill which serves crocodile dishes.  There are so much to do while there.

Aside from diet and exercise there is a much faster way to achieve the figure you have always wanted. Try combining diet, exercise and phentermine diet pills, these three combined will give you the best result you can ever have. 

This is exactly what my friend Raissa did, she has been overweight almost all her life. I have known her since we were in grade school, back then she was already overweight. Now that we are adults and she is already planning to start a family of her own her OB-GYNE advised her that if she wants to have a baby she has to lose weight first. She tried almost everything she could find just to take -off all the excess fats she put on for almost twenty-five years. But to her dismay she fails all the time, not until she tried phentermine diet pills which she took along with dieting and exercising. After only a few months she lost almost 80 lbs and now she is five months pregnant. I am so proud and so happy for her.

Honestly I am not a bookworm, I seldom read books. I think the last time I read a book was when we were reviewing for the board exams, which was a must. Shocking though tonight I started reading one. The book is entitled "Hannibal" by Thomas Harris the same author of the books "The Silence of the Lambs" and "The Red Dragon". You all have seen its movie adaptation, which I have actually. But my new friend who owns the book I am reading now told me that reading the story is a different experience than just the movie. Some movies based on books are shortened and there are a lot of events or parts that are omitted due to time constraint. I am yet to find out if its really true, since like I said I have just started. 

I am thankful though that my friend was able to inspire me to read. How? Well we would talk almost every night before I go to bed, and every time he calls and I ask him what he was doing he would tell me he is reading. For a guy like him to read so much the way he does if its not encouraging I could say its amazing. Well he is not the nerdy type though, with his personality and the way he looks you wouldn't even think that he loves to read. 

I guess I have to end this now, I have to go back to my reading. I still have more books to go. He is lending me all of them. I am even thinking of buying one myself. I just don't know what particular  book or by what author. More updates, coming soon. Ciao!

I would like to congratulate my bet friend and cousin Chikai, she just recently bought her own car. She was able to buy her own car using her blog earnings. She really is my idol. How I wish I could also buy my own car out from what I earn from blogging. We'll never know, I might and I could keep just stick to my promises and not become too lazy in making my tasks as well as in updating my blogs. Since my best friend just got her new car I have a car warming gift for her. I am sure she could make use of this I hope you will like it "bruha". Yesterday I was able to chat with a friend of mine whom I have not chatted with for a while. Somehow I know she is not at all mad but according to her disappointed at me for not fulfilling a promise which I made a few months ago. But I am very happy that she was able to understand me and decided to keep our friendship. I am overjoyed because she gave us another chance, gave me another shot at being a good friend to her just as how good she is to me. 

She never even made me explain what happened, I figured maybe all she wanted to hear was for me to apologize and admit my shortcomings. Thanks a lot sis for understanding. Thank you for listening to all my rants. Hope you don't get tired. 

This is my friend's motorcycle. He loves this so much that he takes cares of it more than anything that he owns. He loves to ride the motorcycle and he even sometimes join drag racing. 

So whenever he rides he uses these gadgets to protect him in case of any accident. He has helmets, body suits, knee pads, elbow pads and even an eye gear for his eyes' protection.

But despite all these gears he was still severely injured the last he met an accident, which really scared his whole family. But since nobody can seem to stop him from riding motorcycles, his mom decided to get him a whole term life insurance. They were just being practical they said, since motorcycles riders are the ones who are more prone to road accidents compared to any type of vehicle.  

"I will be blogging", these are the exact words I said to my friend a couple of weeks ago. I was able to stand by my words for a couple of days and then poof I disappeared once again. Gosh! I cannot believe myself, why am I like this? I tend to say things and do the opposite most of the time. Am I really that pickle-minded or are women naturally like that? I hope not, I would still wish for the day to come that I will be able to be firm. Hey Nancy, I am here again. hahaha. Updating my blog as you requested.

Have I said anything here about how unlucky I am lately? Well if I haven't well let me tell you that I am. But despite that I will still want to try my luck and join in my friend's first ever contest. A couple of days after my birthday my cousin Jam texted me and said he wanted to go to the clinic where I was working. Jam by the way is the younger brother of my best friend/cousin Chikai who is in Utah already. The best friend who did not even greet me on my birthday, when she did not I thought to myself maybe she just forgot. Until Tuesday I almost cried because her brother brought these for me....

A day before my natal day I went out with my sister, a friend and her daughter. We had diner and went to bazaar and did some picture taking. Here are some of the photos we took. Included are the food we ate during dinner.

It is the birthday of one of the sweetest blogger and person I have ever met. One thoughtful, bubbly and inspiring friend who has the purest soul. She is full of life which makes you adore her more. She loves her family, her husband and cute little girl Yena. Today let us all celebrate that very day that God gave us this amazing woman. We all love you ganda. Hope you continue to be the person that you are. I can't wait to see you again and spend more time with you. I am so excited for our trip with Nancy. Love you and may all your wishes come true.

My apologies to all my friends who have been visiting here. I know I have been Missing In Action for a long time. I have been busy with a lot of things and I am really trying to keep up with my changing schedules. I will try my very best to get back to my old blog hopping habits and hopefully I will be able to visit you all again like before. As for now my updates here won't be as regular as before. But hopefully when I will be able to settle the gaps and adapt to the sudden shift of events the old me will return. I do hope you will all understand. I miss all of you.
