When I was little I can still remember how me and my family would watch PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) games together. We would have our own teams. My mom is a big basketball fan herself. During those days it was Purefoods, Alaska and San Miguel days. My brother loves Purefoods, my mom's team was Alaska and mine was San Miguel. I never seem to outgrow my love for that team, after all this years I still love them.
But I somehow lost track of what's going on with the PBA itself until recently I was able to watch the semifinal games which featured my favorite team San Miguel but now known Petron team. I was so glad because they won and they are in the finals against the defending champion Talk 'n Text.
I watch their first championship game. I was really nervous because they were considered the underdogs. Talk 'n Text lead as much as 16 points in the second quarters but Petron was able to slim it down. The biggest miracle of that game was that buzzer beater shot of one the teams veteran player Danny Ildefonso which also gave the team the win. Petron now leads the 7 game series 1-0. I am looking forward to their second game this Wednesday August 10, 2011 in Tubod, Lanao del Sur. Good luck Petron.
