Amazingly Me

A few days ago we were told that Lola (Granny) is already cancer free. She was diagnosed with throat cancer later part of 2010. She undergone chemotherapy and radiation therapy at the same time. I thought her old and fragile body cannot withstand the treatment but thank God she was able to finish the both treatments. A few weeks after her last session she went through PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scan, to determine whether the treatments worked and it did, but just a few days after getting the result she has brought to the hospital again because she was throwing up. After running some test it was found out that she has aspiration pneumonia, which probably caused the whole thing.  Until now she is still admitted in the hospital, she is already 83 years old and I know how much of a fighter my grandma is. She had gone through a lot both physically and emotionally and I am proud to say she was able to overcome each one of them. Now she is battling again, it pains me to know that I could not even take care of her. The most that I can do is pray for her to get well soon. She is planning to come home next year, we are already planning how she is going to celebrate her 85th birthday and I still want that to push through. So Lola please get better.
