WTA ranked number 6 Caroline Wozniacki's act of sportsmanship lead to an integrity investigation. During her first round match at the Luxembourg Open against Luzembourg's very own Anne Kremer. Wozniacki was leading the game at 7-5, 5-0. She was playing with a hamstring injury which made her father and coach to a decision which will later on became a reason for an investigation by the WTA.
Daddy and coach, Piotr told his daughter to retire before winning the game to prevent her injury from getting worse which may hinder her from playing in the second round. But the said instruction was picked-up by the microphone and was heard all over the internet. The said comment reportedly greatly affected the online betting now favoring Wozniacki's opponent.
After the said event WTA's Tennis integrity unit will conduct an investigation. An investigation about gambling, game-fixing and tennis integrity. But personally I think she is not guilty at all.
