After all the media buzz MJ made after his very controversial speech when he received the hall of fame award, another Jordan is getting almost the same amount of media attention but this time about which shoes Marcus Jordan should wear on the court.

Marcus is currently a freshman at the University of Central Florida. UCF has signed a contract with Adidas which means that all its players are expected to wear apparels from Adidas. Although Marcus has agreed to wear Adidas off the court he refuses to wear them on court. The young Jordan insisted on wearing his father's signature shoes, Air Jordans, from Nike.

Adidas reps and the school's sports director are still negotiating, since the school has already signed the contract which means that in any event that certain clauses within the contract are not met Adidas has the right to sue the school for breach of contract. Or worst terminate the contract itself if they do not get what they expected.

For the record, MJ was my favorite player when he was in the NBA, but I think the school as well as Adidas need to stand their ground firmly on this.

The school shouldn't let one player dictate to them who they should partner up with, nor let him bend the rules because he wants to wear his dad's signature shoes. I understand representing your dad, but he also is representing the uniform he's wearing and school he's at.

Plus, the school doesn't a need lawsuits on their hands from Adidas which in turn will hurt future recruiting.

    Nice post Kitty!
