I did mention in the ten honest things about me that I hate veggies. But actually there are one or two preparation of vegetables that has an appeal t my palate. Last night we prepared diner in one of my colleagues home. We had roasted chicken and Ceasars Salad (my favorite). Checked a little info about my fave veggie salad of all time let me share with you some facts.

- A typical Ceasar Salad comprises of Romaine lettuce and croutons dressed with parmesan cheese, lemon, olive oil, egg, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper.
- Named after Ceasar Cardini, an Italian-born Mexican who is credited for creating the salad.
- The salad was said to be invented on July 4, 1924 by Cardini, who was then a chef at Hotel Peñafiel in Tehuacán. It was for a gourmet contest in Tijuana, winning first place with his innovative dish.
- The salad was created at a place operated by Cardini on the ground floor of the Hotel Comercial at the corner of 2nd Street and Main, Tijuana.

The original Ceasar's Hotel
- In today's Tijuana, only the Caesar's Sports Bar and Grill, next door to Hotel Caesars, maintains the Caesar salad tradition. Until around 1993, the restaurant in The Coronet Bar, and Restaurant Caesar's Palace (both defunct), competed with the restaurant in Hotel Caesars for the "best Caesar's Salad" in Tijuana.

Just like you I seldom eat vegetables but romaine, I could eat, weird.. maybe it the dressing that make it tastier.
And oh, Im picky with my Caesar.. I want the romaine to be in light green not the dark one hahaha..
