IBO lightweight champion and Britains pride Ricky Hatton is up to the challenge and is ready to face Manny Pacquiao. After Pacquiao demolished the "Golden Boy" Saturday night, Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton thinks that he's the next big ticket seller in boxing. Hatton said that Manny did a great job with Dela Hoya, its obvious that he is next in line to face Pacquiao. Both fighters have great following from their respective country of origin. Hatton like Manny is also well loved by his countrymen. Hatton has won twice in row after losing to Floyd Mayweather via stoppage in the 10th round last year. His latest fight was against Paul Malignaggi last November.
Hatton considers fighting Pacquiao to be an honor although there is a possible problem when it comes to the weight limit which may play a big hindrance in the negotiations. Hatton fights in the 140 pounds division while Pacuiao weighed 142 pounds during the weigh-in and even heavier during the fight at 147 pounds. But talks between the two parties are still on going. Possible venue, if the fight does materialize, would be the Wembley Stadium in London but nothing is final yet.
