Amazingly Me

Rafa's done it, after being the number 2 for a record of 160 weeks, finally he has overtaken his arch rival Roger Federer as the number 1 seed last August 18, 2008 after winning over Nicolas Lapenti in the quarter final round in the Western and Southern Financial Group Masters held in Cincinnati, Ohio. But he lost the semifinal match against world number 3 Novak Djokovic.

Nadal has achieved a lot in his career this year winning a total of five Grand Slam singles titles, four consecutive French Open champion, winning both the French Open and Wimbledon on the same calendar year, and the only tennis player who won a gold medal in the singles category that belongs to the top five. Talk about achievement, he has surpassed what other great tennis players has done in the past.

Just recently he has won the early rounds in the US Open beating Bjorn Phau of Germany. All eyes are on Nadal and all are anticipating a repeat of the French and Wimbledon finals match against now world number 2 Roger Federer.
