While I was busy surfing the net and blog hopping I stumbled upon this very appropriate article for me. The article's title is "Celebrate Yourself" by Bretanni Shannon.

The article gors...

Living the single life, you may feel compelled to spend February 14th gorging yourself with chocolate and crying yourself to sleep, but that won’t do you any good. Instead, spend the day celebrating your singleness and fabulousness!

Enjoy a day of R&R
Rack your brain and make a list of all the things you can do that will make the stress of life melt off your shoulders. Some of you might find a day alone the best way to rejuvenate yourself, others would rather spend the day with other single friends.
  • Spend the entire day at a spa.
  • Shop ‘till you drop.
  • Take a few days off and head to a restful health spa or retreat.
  • Spend the day sunbathing and reading gossip magazines.
  • Do something fun you’ve been wanting to do. Turn off the phone and paint a masterpiece, hike up to a fantastic viewpoint, read a great book, or take a road trip.
  • Hire a cleaning service to come in and give your home an early spring cleaning while you are out doing something fun. Return home to sparkling fresh abode and relax.
  • Go for a chick flick movie marathon. Hang at your favorite theater all day to get your tears out, get some laughter in, and appreciate multiple happy endings.
  • Spend an hour with a latte in a book store and choose your next great read. Take it home and get into it. Take a bath, order in, and sink into the story.
Throw a single ladies party
  • Serve girlie drinks like champagne and cosmopolitans. Get a chocolate fountain and surround it with fruit like bananas and strawberries and bite size pieces of cake.
  • Get together at a fabulous restaurant and order everything you want.
  • Have a pajama spa party. Set up stations for do-it-yourself manicures, pedicures and facial treatments. Rent your favorite chick flicks to enjoy while you pretty yourselves up.
  • Take your party out on the town. Have everyone dress up in their hottest outfits or in a crazy theme like disco queens with brightly colored wigs, platform heels and feather boas, or as their favorite Disney princesses!
  • Spend the night somewhere else. Rent hotel rooms, a mountain lodge cabin, go to a health spa or go camping. Check the area out ahead of time for group adventures. Think skiing, boating, dance lessons, sky-diving, nude sunbathing, or anything else that will help you celebrate your singleness!
  • Plan ahead and advertise your party to all the single ladies in your area. Go with a bachlorette party theme, strippers and all, but you are all the guests of honor!
Join the Singles Crowd
  • Churches often have singles ministries that get together for special occasions, so find one at your church and join up for V-Day.
  • Major cities along the coast often have Valentine’s Day singles cruises for the weekend or just the evening. They are great fun and are also a good way to meet a ton of new, single people.
  • Take a bunch of girlfriends with you for a day of girlie fun and speed dating! Go out to lunch afterward to compare notes and laugh until your sides hurt.
