Last year's women's singles champion Venus Williams is back to the finals again to defend her title only this time it might be against younger sister Serena. Venus defeated Elena Dementieva in the semis 6-1, 7-6 (7-3). Bad weather kept on intterupting most of the games that day but while the Williams-Dementieva match-up went on without any weather intteruption. Serena on the other hand toppled Zheng Jie, the player who defeated Ana Ivanovic in the earlier round.
Meanwhile in the men's singles the semi final games are already set. Federer will face Marat Safin while my bet Rafael Nadal will face Rainer Schuettler who defeated fellow unseeded Arnaud Clement in the quarter finals yesterday.
